If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, or if you want to discuss any aspect of helping vulnerable people stay safe, please contact the PSO - Rachel Hodges, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. Details are provided below.

Social Media:
Chapter 12 of the CofE National Parish Safeguarding Handbook contains details of the way we should deal with Social Media. One requirement of that is where there are Facebook or similar online groups set up on the church's behalf, the PCC must ensure there is a named person to whom all workers and volunteers are accountable. Chinley and Buxworth Parish does not have any social media accounts directly but they do some through 'Lighting Up CB&B' and some Whatsapp groups for communication. Therefore they have appointed Rachel Hodges as their named Social media person. We would also encourage people to refer to the following guidelines when using social media either personally or for church purposes.
